Consider Hiring Movers
In some cases it’s just worth it to have someone come and move your things for you. Even if you can’t afford the whole home to be packed and moved, you could save some of the larger or more fragile items for a packing company to move. They’re experts at packing up, wrapping up and finding a way to transport hard to move items. The best part about moving with a company is that they are insured, so if anything happens to your items, the moving company is held liable and you are reimbursed for the damages. If you are elderly or if you have mobility issues, a moving company is a great way to move your things economically and without much effort. Just let them know how you’d like it organized and they can take it from there!
As a final tip, leave one box behind after everything else has been cleared out of your home, where you’re undoubtedly going to find things that you left behind. When it’s time to leave your old place and you’ve cleaned out everything else, go through and toss anything you’ve left behind in the box, then on your way to you new place, just drop it in the mail and ship it to yourself. This can help you avoid costly replacements for things like chargers or tools.
